Covid-19 Vaccinations

COVID vaccine clinics to resume Wednesday 16th November 2022 with Adapted Pfizer vaccine once vaccine delivered Wednesday morning.

Expected clinic days over the next 2 weeks:

  • Wednesday 16th November (from 1pm – 6pm)
  • Friday 18th November (9.30am to 5.30pm)
  • Monday 21st to Friday 25th November (9.30am – 5.30pm)

 

COVID vaccinations are available for the following groups at this time:

*two dose primary course (one dose if JCOVDEN/COVID-19 vaccine Janssen)

** those aged 12-64 years with an underlying medical condition who have not received a bivalent booster vaccine

*** at 16 weeks gestation or later if not already boosted in this pregnancy

If you feel you do not fall into one of these categories and need help deciding, please phone the pharmacy. The major groupings are summarised as follows. :

  • Aged 65 or older, a booster dose 1, 2 or 3 is available (4 months minimum interval between vaccinations or recovery from COVID is required)
  • Aged 50 to 64, a booster dose 1 or 2 is available (4 months minimum interval between vaccinations or recovery from COVID is required). A dose 3 is available if your dose 2 was not a bivalent vaccination. If dose 2 was bivalent, dose 3 is not required.
  • Pregnant patients at 16+ weeks gestation can receive a dose 1 or 2 booster if not already boosted in the pregnancy. If dose 1 booster received in the pregnancy, dose 2 booster is not required.
  • Aged 12 to 49 with underlying conditions, a booster dose 1 or 2 is available (4 months minimum interval between vaccinations or recovery from COVID is required). A dose 3 is available if your dose 2 was not a bivalent vaccination. If dose 2 was bivalent, dose 3 is not required.

If you need primary vaccination against COVID (i.e. you have never received a COVID vaccination), you must contact the HSE who will direct you to the nearest Mass Vaccination Centre that is offering primary vaccination.
