Ear Piercing

At Marron’s Pharmacy, we offer an ear piercing service. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, you must be at least 10 years old and accompanied by a parent if under 16. If at all possible, we ask that you arrive with a mask/ face covering as our staff will have to get into an enclosed space and get up close to you to carry out the service.

The ears are pierced with pre-sterilized, single-use earrings that conform to European guidelines.

It should be understood that ear piercing is a minor surgical procedure and is not a painless procedure. However, every effort is made to reduce any pain experienced. We use a cold spray to cause a numbing effect and the cold effect of the spray can itself be a little uncomfortable.

We provide people with a copy of our Ear Piercing Aftercare instructions and once followed, complications are uncommon. Certain medicines and health conditions slow the healing following an ear piercing.

We have two staff members with a lot of experience and they are very good at working with the young people who are excited to get ears pierced but terrified on the day of piercing.

It should be noted that we only pierce the lobe of the ear and do not offer piercings in any other location. Requests for other piercings will be denied.

The cost of this service is €30 per pair of earrings.
