There is a big difference between dermatitis, allergic reactions, eczema and insect bites & stings. Eurax products can be used to treat many minor to moderate skin conditions. The active ingredient Crotamiton helps relieve itching.
Eurax Cream contains stearyl alcohol which may cause local skin reactions (e.g. contact dermatitis) and methyl hydroxybenzoate which may cause allergic reactions (possibly delayed). While allergic reactions are rare stop using and seek medical help if you experience: difficulty breathing or swallowing, swelling of the face, tongue or throat, skin irritation or rash. Do not use in or around the eyes, on broken skin, for weeping skin conditions or if you are sensitive to any of the ingredients.

Apply to the affected area 2-3 times daily. Eurax can be used for children. For children under 3 years of age consult your doctor before use and do not apply more than once a day. Eurax Cream is not recommended in pregnancy. Consult your doctor or pharmacist before using Eurax Cream if you are breastfeeding or suffering from genital itching.

Safety advice
If Eurax is accidentally swallowed, contact your nearest hospital emergency department or tell your doctor immediately. Do not smoke or go near naked flames – risk of severe burns. Fabric such as clothing, bedding and dressings that have been in contact with this product burn more easily and can be a serious fire hazard. Washing clothing and bedding may reduce product build-up but will not totally remove it.
Keep all medicines out of the sight and reach of children and pets. Do not store above 25°C. Do not use after the expiry date given on the end flap. Use within 12 months of opening. For external use only, if symptoms persist, please consult your doctor.
